I'm so stressed out.
I have three essays to write for my application.
I have to write an essay by Friday about being a special ed teacher.
Auditions are making me want to pull my hair out. I want Jo so bad it hurts. I've never auditioned for a musical and wanted a part as bad as I want this. It's my last show here, and the part is just...amazing...She's a small girl with a big belting voice who is passionate and strange. The music is gorgeous, and listening to the songs she sings literally brings tears to my eyes to think about actually performing them. It's very obviously between Alea and I. They are doing that into the woods Alea and Megan witch/bakers wife thing, where if I get Jo she'll be Meg and if she gets Jo I'll be Meg. God, I want it so bad. It's usually a bad thing to be this open about wanting something, but I'd so hard to not express just how deeply I want it. It doesn't help that I'm getting super emotional about it being my last show here. Someone started playing "Oh the thinks you can think" during warm-ups and Clifford and I were standing in our approximate places for that songs and it just brought back the last four years. How far I've come since being a little thing with no head voice sitting on a throne with my legs swinging not even understanding how much I'd become a part of that place and looking at the seniors like they were the most talented people in the world. Now I'm sitting in the seats, and a freshman tells me "Did you know that I want to be you?"
Where did the time go?
I'm honestly scared that posting this will ruin my chances of getting it because I get nervous about those sort of things, but I just...I know It's not luck when it comes to parts. It's about talent.
Cross your fingers for me, please.
